RedShift Systems is the world leader in providing optical thermal OEM cameras, under our OpTIC ™ brand, that enable OEMs to deliver superior product performance at a fraction of the cost of current solutions.  We have developed a technology -- called optical thermal imaging -- that radically reduces the cost of thermal imaging cameras by enabling them to be built with standards-based fabrication methods and off-the shelf components.  This leverages the enormous CMOS imaging market to continuously extend price/performance leadership.  The result -- RedShift’s thermal imaging solutions allow standard CMOS cameras to see heat and enable consumer-level, mass market applications at previously unattainable price points.

The Thermal Light Valve™
Our core innovation, the Thermal Light Valve™ (TLV), is a passive optical component that translates difficult-to-image thermal radiation into light that can be imaged by a standard CMOS camera.  The TLV is based on optical “active thin films” technology that was developed at Aegis Semiconductor and created a new category of low price, high quality optical channel monitors that are deployed in major telecommunications networks today.  OEMs can easily and quickly integrate a RedShift OpTIC engine - which contains a TLV filter and necessary optics and electronics - into their product lines to serve fast-growth markets with minimal effort and cost but with maximum speed.
